The old sofa is the single item we haul more than anything except mattresses. We take it from wherever it sits, upstairs condo included, get it through the door without gouging the frame, and load it. You do not drag it to the curb.

That is the usual problem. The sofa came in through a sliding door that now has a screen bolted on, or up a staircase before the railing was installed, or in pieces that nobody remembers how to take apart. Getting it out is a different puzzle from getting it in.
We bring furniture blankets, straps and a dolly, and we take legs and cushions off before we start. Sectionals come apart at the connectors. Sleeper sofas get the mechanism locked so it does not unfold halfway down the stairs. That last one is the reason most DIY attempts end with a dented wall.
A single couch sits inside our $99 minimum load. Add a loveseat, a chair or a coffee table and it usually still does. You get the price in writing before anything moves.

We take what regular waste management refuses — mattresses, tires, paint, carpet, hot tubs. The only hard no is asbestos, medical or biohazard waste and explosives, which legally need licensed handling.
The couch is usually the easy part. Where it is, and how you get it out, is the actual job.
Stairwells with a landing turn are the classic case. We tip it on end, protect the corners and walk it down. No stairs fee.
Delivery is Saturday and the old one has to be gone first. Book us for Friday or the same morning and the room is clear when the truck pulls up.
Common when downsizing. The new place will not take an L-shaped six-seater, and the movers charge by weight. We take it before they arrive.
Tenant left the couch behind. We can meet you or a property manager at the unit with a lockbox code.
Sun-faded outdoor sofas and cushions, often alongside a rusted table and chairs. One load.
Couches nobody can donate. We take them anyway and dispose of them properly.

If the frame is sound and the fabric is clean, we sort it for donation to Broward County charities. Many will not take upholstered furniture with any stains or tears, so be realistic.
Recliner and sleeper mechanisms are steel. We pull them for scrap rather than bury them.
Foam and fabric that cannot be reused go to a licensed facility, not a roadside or a canal bank.
