This one is less useful than our other articles, so if you came looking for practical advice on clearing a garage, that is elsewhere on this blog.
But people occasionally ask why we do things the way we do, and the answer explains most of our decisions.
The complaint we kept hearing
Before we started in 2022, the same story came up repeatedly from people in Coral Springs, Parkland and Coconut Creek.
They had called a junk removal company. They had been quoted a number on the phone. A crew arrived, started loading, and somewhere around the halfway mark the price changed. By then the garage was half empty, the truck was half full, and saying no was not really an option any more.
It is not universal. There are good operators in this county. But it happened often enough that it was the first thing people mentioned.
So the first rule was about timing
Not "we have fair prices" — everyone says that, and it means nothing.
The rule is about when the firm price arrives: before anything is loaded, in writing, after we have seen the actual pile.
That single ordering removes the leverage. You have full information and a loaded-nothing truck at the moment you decide. If the number is not what you expected, we leave and you owe nothing — no call-out fee, no charge for the walkthrough.
Everything else about our pricing follows from that.
Why volume, not hours
We price by how much room your load takes in the truck.
Hourly pricing sounds fairer and is not. It means a customer with a difficult staircase pays more than a customer with the same amount of junk at ground level. They do not have more junk. They just have stairs, which they did not choose and cannot change.
So: no stairs fee, no charge for the item being at the back of the garden, no surcharge for the third floor. Volume is volume.
Things we will not do
Worth naming, because these are all common in this industry.
Quote high on the phone to win the call. A phone number is a guess. We give an honest range and tell you it is a range.
Take a deposit before seeing the job. There is no legitimate reason for it on residential junk removal.
Claim we recycle everything. Nobody does. We sort every load and a meaningful share is donated or recycled — and some of it is genuinely spent and goes to disposal. We would rather say that than publish a number we cannot evidence.
Refuse the awkward items quietly. Some operators decline mattresses, tires, paint and appliances because they cost more to dispose of, and you find out on the day. We take what regular waste management turns down; that is most of why people call.
Talk someone into a job they do not need. If your pile is small, at the curb, unrestricted and not urgent, municipal bulk collection is free and we will tell you to use it.
What we are not
We are a small local operation. We are not the right call for a very large commercial job needing four crews on one day — a national operator has more trucks and would serve you better.
We do not do tree surgery, asbestos abatement, mould remediation, or anything needing a licensed trade. We will tell you when you have crossed that line, including when it costs us the work.
Where it stands
Over a thousand jobs since 2022, across sixteen Broward County cities, at five stars on Google from a hundred and eleven reviews.
The reviews that mean the most are not the ones calling us fast. They are the ones from estate cleanouts, where someone mentions the crew was respectful on a hard day. Speed is easy to buy. That part is not.
Still family owned. Still answering our own phones. Call (954) 536-8189 and you will get one of us.
